Domain

Domains equal nemes in a telefone book. Every Computer, no matter if server or PC, has an identifiable number. These can be resolved as domain names.
To keep a certain order the names of the computers are sorted hierarchic in a tree structure. The german dictionary "fastdict.de" for example is in the domain ".de" and has the name "fastdict" (domain names are read from back to front).
